Just bought a new double cab Tacoma with 4 cyl. auto transmission.
A little doggie on highway. Down shifts to much on small hills.
Thinking about adding a chip. Any body had any luck with this and
    does it void warranty?

Welcome to TW! For some reason I read that as "4 cyl. no transmission". Whew, long day. No idea about the chip, but you could try looking in the Performance and Tuning discussions.

    You will void warranty.

I have a 4 cy DC. Chose it bec of nature of work, stop and go city. Purpose for truck is to carry bike only, no need for 6 cy for now. I drive 4 cy vehicles for awhile now and Im happy with performance of my 2013 Taco. I've learned to maximize momentum on driving it and i easily reach and maintain above 80 mph without straining engine. I have a 6 cy Highlander and It accelerates fast vs Taco but even on steady drive.
