For use in 2014 DCSB Entune, non jbl

I searched around a little, but since the front and rear doors can handle 6x9's I would like to put 6x9 components up front and regular coax 6x9's in the rear. For reference on my sound taste, I am not a fan of how infinity speakers sound.

I want to use the stock headunit, so speakers which require low RMS would be preferred.

    Thanks for your help guys.

The RMS rating of a speaker is not indicative of the power REQUIRED by the speaker. That rating is how much power the speaker can handle before it fails. If you are limited on power what you need is an EFFICIENT speaker. One with a high sensitivity rating.

I would say it's worth the extra $100. Remember, a 3db gain is equivelant to running twice the cone area (meaning double the speakers) or applying twice the power. And since you're short on power you should use the more efficient ones. Plus, the Focal ones will likely sound better. I haven't heard both but I've never heard a bad Focal speaker.

Crutchfield's website lists the Focal 690's as incompatible with our trucks. Does anyone have these installed that could speak to why they might be listed that way?

I can tell you guys that the JBL GTO series speakers are a very good match with a stock Entune head unit. I have been listening to my newly installed JBL speakers with the stock Head unit and they sound great. Especially the digitally mastered cd's like Boston. Cranks out loud and the sound is smooth and clean. For about $100 bucks you upgrade your stock speakers, gut the factory speakers reusing the factory mounts and you just gave yourself a premium sound system. Along with the speakers get the harnesses they sell on Ebay they do work.
