I will be driving from Arkansas and arriving at Moab on June 8. On the 12th and 13th I plan to run White Rim, camping the 12th at Murphy. I think I got the last spot near the midway point of the White Rim trail for this week. I read about every possible review/rating of the trail, and most said this trail is the upper limit of a stock 4X4. So, am I crazy for doing this trail? I plan on running some of the easier trails on the 4 previous days. Oh, and if you are at Moab the week of June 8-13 and see a 2012 Pyrite Mica Tacoma DCSB with Arkansas plates, it's just me.

your truck will be plenty fine...the only thing that will cause you issues (which it won't) would be the tires maybe...

when you hit the trail, lower your PSI down to 20 or so to help with some added traction and ride comfort and you'll be fine

you'll only need 4wd for a few of the hills on white rim

    unless there's rain, then things can change....but overall you'll be fine...ENJOY :D

too bad you couldn't make it out a week earlier..there's a bunch of us making it out there, http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/moab/307112-2014-rock-therapy-official-thread.html

I wanted to make it for rock-therapy, but it snowed a lot (a lot for Arkansas). We missed several days of school that have to made up the first week in June. And Thanks very much for the reassurance on White Rim.

I am packed and ready to head out for Moab in the morning. I've been looking at all the pictures posted in the Rock Therapy Picture thread. That's got me really excited.

Here is a clip of us climbing Murphy Hogback on the White Rim Trail.

I shouldn't have had the Gopro on wide angle. The trail is much steeper than it appears on this video.

A few miles into the White Rim Trial we came up on a Cadillac SRX.

I followed it for a while. He finally turned around at the second camping area at Airport Tower. This is about 17 miles into White Rim. Murphy "C" is where we camped.
