Samsung front loader is stuck in the lock position this has happened once before and turning the power off reset it. This time that didn't help. So is it the door lock mechanism and is this fairly easy to replace?

The small plastic piece on the door itself or the internal lock on the machine?

it is the internal lock that is messing up. allowing the washer to run a cycle unlocked it.....this time..........

How long did you unplug it for? Try unplugging and walk away for 15 minutes.

I had an issue with moisture sensors. I never thought to unplug it...but when our house was without power for 8 hours, I haven't had the problem since.
