Font camera??!

anyone install a front view camera? I was thinking it would be cool to have while offroading, so you can see whats over that hill. lol
I have a Pioneer Avic 900 and would use that as a screen (it can be modded to run 'rear view cam' anytime and I saw this

That is an interesting idea! I know exactly how you could make it work too!

 

I actually had an idea for wheeling a while back when I had a built jeep. I bought one of those cheap X10 wireless security camera sets off eBay for next to nothing. Cracked open an old broke hard drive out of a computer and removed the rare earth magnets that go at the base of the reader arm (flat and VERY powerful). I JB welded the magnet to the base of the camera and plugged in a 9v battery. Voila! A cheap temporary camera for wheeling enabling you to be your own spotter as you position the camera on the ground or on anything metal.

 

I thought under the frame would be a good place for a camera so you could check out your clearance.
