Anyone found a way to stop the ds seat belt adjuster on the ac door from making a ticking noise? Not a huge deal, but it's right at ear level and annoying. Comes and goes, just recently came back with a vengeance...

What's causing the tick? when the belt is moving? or is it from hitting bumps while driving? Mine 'rattles' (it's a hard plastic type clank and sounds kinda like a tick) when I hit small abrupt bumps like potholes and driveway/bridge transitions.

My seat belt buckle on the passenger door bangs when you hit some bumps if no one is using it.
I took a couple of these stick on fuzzy pads and put them on the door where the buckle would hit, seems to work for now.

This seems to be something different than what you have going on.

It's a metallic 'ticking', the best way I can describe it. Happens when the tires hit irregular spots in the road. What's mystifying is that it will stop doing it for months on end, then re-appear out of the blue. It seems to be coming from the mechanism for the adjustable buckle. Maybe in the spring. I was mostly curious if anyone else had heard something like that and made an attempt to look into it. I have not at this point taken the door panel off to look closer.

That's weird... especially that it doesn't do it consistently. Can you think of anything that may affect it? Windows being down or up? during the winter and now summer, have your windows been up more? With them up, it may make the top half the door more rigid and less likely to vibrate.

My AC makes a rattling sound, but it's not intermittent. There's at least one hill on the way home with a bump that I always hit just right to make something in the door rattle, and it does sound like it originates from the seatbelt mechanism in the door. The position of my window changes the pitch of it (not muffled, so I know it's not coming from outside of the truck and is just being blocked by a closed window). It's definitely coming from the door.
