    Hello Taco Fans,
I just purchased my first Tacoma ('06 TRD off road DCSB 6 speed 130,000km)
    80,000 miles for you 'Mericans
I was just looking for some insight on some things to look out for, simple mods to make the truck more aesthetically pleasing.

Also, I live in SW Ontario Canada where they salt the roads like french fries.

Ive noticed a bit of surface rust on the frame and control arms. Best way to tackle this? Oil coat the shit out of it or clean, paint, and oil?

Also shifter feels a bit sloppy, any suggestions?

    Thanks

I just had to pay for a new fuel door assembly, painted and installed. Never thought about it until it happened, but the hinges on the fuel door are flimsy and rusted out and eventually broke. Seems to be a common problem. Put some grease on those hinges now and then.
