Hey guys I figured i would post up some pics of this trailer me and some of my buddies are building. Its coming along pretty good and we only have around 500 bucks in it counting tires. It started out as a horse wagon. This old guy we know started on it and decided he didnt want to fool with it anymore. He already had the 3500 lb axel to go under it as well as the leaf springs. The guy just gave it to us. We took it and cutt some stuff off of it and add a little to it. We are almost done with it. Its about 5 feet long and id say close to 5 feet wide. Its just kind of a proto type i guess you could say. We plan on building another one and doing it a little bit better. Its setting on 15" wheels with 33's on it. Thanks for checking it out and i hope you enjoy!!

Oh and the platform on the side is not made to stay there its only for when we get to where we are going so we can put our cooking stuff on it. it mounts on the inside of the trailer

Building trailers is my hobby as well, If you call 15 or so trailers a year a hobby.

I worry about that axle. You may want to drop down to some 2200 lbs springs. The 3500 lbs axles have little give until you get at least 1k on them. You might have trouble with bending the frame from the shock of going over bumps. The spring length is the same for both sizes, so its just a quick unbolt to swap them out if you find the ride is too harsh.

    Looking forward to the build.

Thanks man. The only reason we stayed with the 3500 pound one is we already had and we are kinda broke haha. On the next one we build we are going to do it right! Thanks for the information!!!!!
