I've got an '09 and I'm looking to wire up some OTRATTW switches to my dash illumination source when the headlight come on.

I'm not sure where the switches are going to go yet, but I'd like to know where to tap into get a positive signal. I know the dimming is done via ground so I'm looking the the + side.

The best would be if there is a fuse for it under the dash to add a circuit.

I'm not sure if your fuse block is the same and the one on my 2012, but I discovered that the empty fuse location indicated by the red arrow has +12v when the parking and headlights are on.

Thanks shadow! So mine, at least number and layout wise looks the same.

That one is blank on my layout along with the second 10A from the left on the second row.

I'll get a volt meter on it tomorrow.

There are some wires that you could have tapped into on this plug, but I figured you would probably prefer to use an unused fuse tap instead of cutting or tapping wires.

Personally I hate quick taps. (blue things that clamp around existing wires)

Just FYI, the wires on the plug directly below this have +12v all the time, +12v with key in the ACC position and +12 with key in the IGN position.

I just checked my 2013 Sport and for some reason this empty spot seems to have about 5v until I turn on my dash illumination at which point it drops to zero??

There must be some wiring differences between the 2012 and 2013 and different packages as well.

Incidentally, the empty fuse location is marked as unused with an "X" on the fuse location label on the back of the coin tray.

One of the solid green wires on the plug indicated by the yellow arrow has +12V when the light are on but you could probably only use this to turn on a relay.
