    Probably yeah.

If you got into an accident in a Miata though your body is the crumple zones. Not very appealing when your ripping around in a car that will probably over steer like crazy.

Meanwhile in the modern Lotus I'm sure you will walk away and have a BMW level interior.

I just assumed you were talking about an older Miata my bad.

I'm sure the new ones are plenty safe but in older cars have less developed safety features. I guess you could put in a harness and a cage to mitigate that but then your adding a bunch of weight.

The interior isn't mind blowing but it's still pretty nice 2011-lotus-evora-s-interior-view_d7f6a253c87f52306c77c8cbdbb06fab1a9dd3d1.jpg

I did the math when I was researching the SC. The Tacoma with the SC has more power to weight ratio in BOTH HP and TQ.

In fact it has better power to weight ratio, in both HP and TQ, than the F150 w/ the Ecoboost V6.

When you take altitude into account, I live at a mile high and frequently go in excess of 10,000 ft, it's a no brainer.

Also, in comparison to other vehicles, the cost of the SC and install is in line.

For example I've had a 10' Camaro SS and currently have a 12' Corvette Grand Sport. While considering a SC for both the costs were similar if not more for a similar SC and install. Neither were covered under the factory warranty like the TRD SC and Toyota Master Tech. install. So, while not cheap, it's right in line for what a SC costs and you get to maintain the full Toyota warranty and able to take it to any Toyota dealer in the US.

*there is a dealer installed option for the Camaro or Corvette that maintains the factory warranty. It's even more than the TRD/Toyota part and install and only certain dealers cover the warranty. So you're kinda stuck using the installing dealer.
