It is a super annoying feature. I don't remember when I thought "oh, I want to unlock my doors." And then just forgot randomly what I was doing, walking away, leaving my vehicle vunerable to attack...

some of this, a little of that
I like it, if i bump the keys in my pocket and accidentally unlock them, the truck will relock itself for me.

You must be running into far more pointy objects at pocket level then I am. Do you work at a cabinet factory?

sometimes its as simple as my wife going out to get something from her car and she hits the wrong keyfob. I'd rather the truck relock itself and sit there unlocked by accident.

    Working on it
This has only annoyed me once.

Then I just stopped locking my truck.

Ah I gotcha. I was really banking on the cabinet factory scenario.

I hate this feature also! First time I realized I had it, I hit the unlock on the fob, grabbed a big box and started walking toward the truck. Got there just in time for it to lock on me  I don't like my truck thinking it knows what I'm thinking, just do what the f I tell you to!

Bump...has anyone figured this out yet? Any Toyota Techs that can help us? Took it to the dealer yesterday and was told that it's impossible. I find that hard to believe.

I know that it will disable if you open a door. But I have a power lock on the tailgate and sometimes I'll go into the tailgate to load and it will lock back before I want it to. I'm really paranoid about putting my keys down in the bed, loading the bed, then closing the tailgate only to have the truck "eat" my keys.

    Gotta be a way.

Sorry. I don't have an answer but I see your dilemma. I kind of like the feature because as I'm walking away from the truck and hit unlock accidentally, I know it will lock it. I can see why you would be worried about that now.
