I have always liked the Pioneer double dins. I had one in my FJ and I am going to put the Pioneer 4000NEX in my Tacoma. I found my p8400bh on ebay for $500 which I installed in my FJ. It is a great headunit and has dual USB in the rear. One I hooked up to the factory USB and the other I ran to the glove box for my iPod.

You could always go to a professional installer and ask what they recommend. They also can give you several different options for speakers and amplifiers in different price ranges.

Professional installers do this for a living and will no doubt have done an installation on your exact year and model truck. You still need to do your homework to make sure you're getting a good price. These guys don't work for free so they not only charge for the labor involved, they will most likely charge you a bit more than Crutchfield for the same products. With that in mind, you have the convenience of bringing something back to these guys if something goes wrong or doesn't work out, a lot easier than uninstalling, boxing up and shipping something back to an online dealer.

I have always done my own installs, but I have often gone to installers/dealers to see what recommendations they have and see what products they sell.

It is much easier to demo and get a feel for the controls of a head unit in person than it is just seeing images of it on your computer screen.
