Got approved for a new frame on my '05 dbl cab w 107k. Planning to level while it's torn apart. Looking at new shocks, new springs, but unsure whether i might get upgraded to the 4 leafs like newer trucks? If so, will my stock shocks also need to be replaced?

If they are still good, then no. If they are bad shocks then yes

If everything is rusted together, then yes, they will replace springs and shocks, which you most likely get the 4 leaf pack, as new 2014 year trucks don't come with the 3 leaf pack.

When I went to the dealer to order parts for the lower control arm bushings and bolts, they had a bad frame at the end of the parking lot, so I went to check it out. The leaf springs where still on the truck, and they just cut off the LCA instead of messing with the cam bolts .

Thanks! Already had the shocks replaced last year, and as mentioned they had to cut the old ones off. Have to decide whether to replace year-old shocks or wait and just focus on the front end for now!

2014 trucks made before november 2013 will follow the old leaf spring guide of only TRD sport's and SR5 w/ tow package getting the 3+1 leaf pack.

All 6 lug tacoma's made in november 2013 or after all come with 3+1 leaf packs.
