    Hello all,

I was in an accident with my taco a few weeks ago and the radiator / AC condenser and A/C lines were broken. I replaced the radiator and the truck now runs but no AC (in July in Texas).

The person that pulled out infront of me claimed fault and had good insurance :) steel bumpers are on the way :)

I am trying to identify and purchase the broken AC line.

Why is their insurance not fixing the truck?
Plus any Salvage yard should have that.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Probably took the money and doing it himself. What I should have done when I got in a wreck, would have enough money for lockers and then some :p

OP, I'm not sure what that line is, but I suspect it may lead to the evaporator. If so, the part# to the front evaporator pipe is 88716-04280. If it leads to the condenser, then the condenser pipe# is 88716-04103. Take it off and match it with the new pipe when you go the parts counter. Hope this helps.

Edited to add: Double check the part #'s as the numbers are for a 01-02 Tacoma and may not cross reference over. I didn't realize your truck is an 2000 when I first posted. Sorry for the comfusion.

Check the condenser also, it looks FUBAR to me. Look at the row of crushed cooling fins to the left of the fitting, and where it leads into the condenser. It looks tweaked. Hopefully it'll still hold pressure, good luck.

Yea I took the money and fixing it myself :) insurance gave me 6500 and I bought the truck back for 1900 so I have 4600 to do stuff to it :) Radiator was 150 and the truck ios back running without issues.

    I finally found the line - http://www.alltoyotalexusparts.com/search/1999/toyota/tacoma/92081.html - part number - 88716-04171

Friend of mine is ordering it at toyota, coundnt find it in stock and didnt want to pay out the butt to ship it when he can get it in a day for 45 bucks. I also purchased a new condensor and I should have A/C again! Yay Texas summer without A/C sucks balls.

WIth the extra money I ordered front and rear Addicted off road bumpers, building a roof rack and adding an RTT, I do more camping and expo stuff than hard wheeling. At 400k miles I have to be nice to her.

Here is a photo of the front, anyone have a clue how to fix the hood? I just used a hammer to the rest of it.. my "land rover mending tool" works great

Ill be sure to create a build thread :)
