Brush Guard Mounting Issues (97 Taco)

I recently picked up a brush guard of a '96 4Runner. (Got it for free) It's an original Toyota Brush guard, the mounts line up perfect hight wise but the guard is about 2 inches to short length wise. Is there anyway I could buy a longer bolt for the one side and some how rig it so it holds? Any help would be awesome because it would make my '97 look that much better Also it attach to the two mounts located directly under the front bumper and if I wanted the guard had two holes Goethe option of actually drilling holes and mounting it directly to the bumper.
