You need to use standard terms that are understood by all. Like I said, what you are saying makes no sense in relation to the terms you are using.

You are saying "halogen" when you are referring to aftermarket housings.
ALL factory headlights have been halogen for the better part of 30 years, except for the newer luxury cars fitted with HID and even newer now coming with LED.

"Halogen" refers to the type of lamp. The factory lamp in the Tacoma is an H4 halogen lamp. It has a filament, but the heat from the filament causes the halogen gas inside to glow which enhances the light over what we lived with in the '70s.

Halogen projectors are not any more blinding than factory lights unless not adjusted properly. When they ARE adjusted properly, the light output and pattern is far, far worse than the factory lights.
Projector housings were designed for HID, not halogen, and they do not perform well with halogen, but the cutoff fence keeps them from being blinding, whether run with halogen or HID.

Your picture is a set of aftermarket projector housings with LED accent lighting. The projector itself may use either halogen or HID (most likely halogen, most are)... but whether they are blinding or not depends on the installer and whether or not he aims them properly. You can't just slap them in and drive.

And no... those projectors, fitted with halogen lamps, AND AIMED PROPERLY, are not anywhere near as blinding as the light from an HID burner dropped into a stock housing.
I monitor traffic cameras, and from a camera mounted 45 feet in the air, I'll point out every vehicle with illegal drop-in HID lamps. They are THAT bad.

Dude... The picture I posted is from a jeep. The exact lights they come from the factory with, that are more blinding than mine. I have first hand experience with them from my parents jeep, they're not aftermarket. So I'm glad you're mister know it all and 100% proper lingo, but I bet the OP new what I meant. So go ahead and blow some more smoke, I like watching you show me all you're so useful knowledge

If you're going to go that way, this conversation is over.
