Hi guys. I know everyone here do have tire pressure gauges on their tool box. I'm planning to buy another set, most likely not from Craftsman, as I find it inaccurate and substandard for only a couple of weeks of daily use! I bought 2 times already from them and it's such a shame I didn't learn!

    Accutire
    Longacre
    Michelin
    Mountain Crest
    Milton

These are a couple of digital gauges I wanted to choose from and they are all based on my Amazon searches and their reviews.

Can you recommend what's best and most accurate? Thank you.

I've used a Longacre for about 5 years. 0.5 pound resolution is close enough for me. It's been perfectly reliable, but then I don't use it hard or bang it around in a mobile toolbox. It looks and feels very sturdy however.

I can't comment on the others as I've never had any of them.

I've been using an AccuTire gauge for 10 years. It has lived a hard life in my trunk: banged around, low temps of -10 degrees and high temps of 120-ish degrees. It finally died a few weeks ago--the electronics are fine, but the nib that presses the tire valve disintegrated. I think I bought it from TireRack.com. I bought my wife a Slime brand tire gauge about 3 years ago from Wal-Mart. It seems to be as accurate as the AccuTire. It lights up with a green glow when you press the button, so you can use it in low-light conditions. ...damn, I knew there was something I needed when I was running errands yesterday!

I can recommend both AccuTire and Slime brand without hesitation. Both read to .1 psi.
