so i decided to downsize from a 35x12.5r20 to something a little smaller and went with duractracs 275/70r18

HOLY SHIT! They look so small..I haven't mounted them yet because Im waiting for my new Method 304 Double Standard rims to show up at my door. But I may have gone too small? about 2 inches height and width. Is it just me? or should I change them before I mount them? By the way, I've got a 6" procomp so Im a little worried they really will look funny on with all that lift.

Anyone have a 6" lift with about the same size tire? I know many are trying to go bigger, but I though by going a little smaller I'd save on the price of the tires, price of gas, and price of future repairs.

Thanks for all the responses guys! :annoyed:
I went ahead and mounted them. Doesn't look as bad as I thought.

Now that they're mounted, I can't return them and selling them would just be wasting more money than is worth. I'm pretty happy with the size, and may jump up next time around when it's time. I'll tell you what though, definitely no more rubbing issues!

It looks good. I have 265/70/17 on mine with a 3" lift, now that looks weird.

Thanks guys. I may end up lowering the back end just a hair to get rid of that forward lean it has now and even it out.

It looks just right to me, the wheel and tire combo were a good choice.

I am also doing the exact same thing... I was worried about the size but after seeing your pics I feel good with my decision. The big tires are to much of a hassle and expense... Thanks!

    I have a 245/75/16 on mine with a 2.5 in lift...

But I am pretty sure the wife would divorce me if I bought new tires.. Damn dealership putting new tires on my truck when I bought it so I have only put 6k miles on them so far... Then I have a 4cyl so burning rubber isn't an option.. maybe I can start driving through the dump more often and pick up a few nails haha

I think it looks good with the new 33's. Love those wheels, they were on my short list when I bought my MK6's.
