Am I the only one without map lights in my truck? Been wondering is there anyone out there who has a solution to this problem. When I purchased my truck I never noticed the lack of them until I went to look for something in the dark a few weeks later. Currently use a book light that I have attached to my mirror but am looking for a more permanent solution

Who uses maps these days anyway.....

Would a really bright LED dome light bulb help?

Not when the dome light is behind you.

I also don't have a map light, and would like to score one at a wrecker and wire it up. Not real critical, though, just nice to have.

Front dome light added, light reminder added, door chime mod, added 2nd gen 4runner headrests, grey wire mod, 2lo mod, more later.
Second gen 4runner map - dome light are a direct bolt into the tacos I put one in my 02 taco now I have two map lights and a dome light in the front. You have to wire into the rear dome light to make front dome light function I ran the wires between headliner and cab ceiling.
