So my parents decided to get rid of a car, that being my 2001 Nissan Maxima, and I got a hammydown 2004 PreRunner SR5. F*(#&@$ STOKED!!!

It came in from Colorado a few days ago and I have already fallen in love. This truck is awesome.
Fun little piece of truck, not too big to make me look like more of a tool but still enough to get a little bit of offroading in with absolutely no problem at all.

I have just signed up and will do some trolling of the forums pertaining to increasing my gas milage, common mods, and anything else that looks like fun.
I am pretty mechanically inclined but not accustomed to working on cars much.

Any advice would be much appreciated and feel free to PM me with anything else.

As of now and what I would like to change is installing a grill guard, updating the head lights with LED lights or completely replacing the headlight inserts and same with the tail lights, possibly installing a rear dome light for the bed, and putting off road lamps on a mount over the truck so i can point them either forward or backwards.

I'm excited to have all of this in front of me and hopefully this new community can help me skip the mistakes and the trial by fire, the way i normally get things done.

If you have made it all the way through then thanks for reading.

Any and all advice is welcome

    Regards

    Will and Big Red

Oh I am also interested in upgrading the sound, I might have a new deck set available if I am able to talk my girlfriend into parting with it.

Not sure where I should start, and go from there.

Welcome! Tons of info on this site. I usually do a Google search of what I need and tacomaworld pops up with the answer every time.
