Hello ! i am the proud owner of a new (to me) 2007 access cab TRD Offroad Tacoma. It only has 39,xxx miles on it and i can say that the previous owner really, REALLY took care of this thing. I want to get a lift and some wheels/tires really soon. i plan on going with the ome 885 with 2" aal. my first question is, how important is it to buy new UCA with the lift? also i plan on getting a 16x9 wheel with 4.5 bs (-12 offset ) on 285/75/16 tires... Will i run into any problems with fitment? I know i may need to do a bit of trimming but anything else i need to worry about?

I'm assuming you are planning on using 5100's and 885's correct? If this is what you are doing you will get about 2.5" of lift in the front. You will not need UCA's. Does it apply more pressure on upper BJ's? Sure it does, but seems like most people still get a fairly long life out of them. It will line up fine though. 285's are gonna be tight. From what I've seen you can fit them but your gonna do some cutting. Won't want to flex it much. I'm running 5100's 885's 17"x8.5" method rims 0 offset with 1.25" spidertrax with 265/70's and I can make them rub pretty easy. Welcome BTW and sweet find on your Taco. Looks super nice.

Gotcha, not sure about uca's then, my understanding is at 3" it could go either way but most replace them. Maybe some one that has that lift will chime in.
