ViAir said they don't have replacement switch. Also, past my warranty by 3 months. Waiting what else they say.

Ah. Take it apart. There should be a couple clips on the sides

gonna have to. switch looks hard to take apart. just looks like two small holes on each side. just have to push those in and the actual on/off switch will come off.

Nope. Just mount it on the truck now. Build a real OBA setup. Small tank and some line with fittings.

    Glad you got it sorted

Just to confirm you can fit a 5 gallon tank under the bed side with a high clearance bumper without any loss of approach angle. :woot:

Thanks. I need to, but never really looked into it. Going to have to do some research. What's the benefit? Just air up faster? Besides using for air lockers.

I was looking at mounting my tank in that position too. Did you run the bolts through the bed?

Thanks! I was going to use carriage bolts and try to put them in the recessed parts.

Yes. Air up faster. Plus, with it onboard. You find all sorts of things you end up wanting to use the air for. Luke blowing off water after a wash. Sand out of the cab. Run a tool, air up faster. I also inflate my knockoff zodiac

You could mount it where I put mine. Behind the tailgate bulkhead.

Oh I think it's great too. I guess I'm just a child at heart. Every time I see one of my friends walking down the street or just some kids waving at cars I'll do a quick burst.

I took video of the horn in different perspectives but they won't load to my YouTube channel.

I remember the video posted a year ago on here. Thread was locked with the shit storm it brought. I find it funny too. Local Leo know me too well and I do not need more heat on me.

Woo, I am joining the club. I picked up a Smittybilt 2780 for my river tubing adventures last weekend. The sideloaded plan for it is to now mount it to my truck. After some thought and diligent reading I want to use an unloading check-valve to eliminate the head pressure and mount it on the passenger fender well. I have a couple questions.

    1. Is this the kind of unloading check-valve that I need, either the PA-6 or CA-6?

    2. I have noted that the Min/Max Flow to operate the valve is 1/6 CFM. I don't know what pressure the CFM for the 2780 was recorded at. My understanding is that the higher the pressure the lower the Flow drops? If this is correct the valve should be good.

    3. Does this order sound correct? Compressor > Unloading Check-valve > Pressure Switch > Gauge > Tank/Hose

    4. More to come.

    Parts List:
    -Smittybilt 2780
    -Unloading Check-Valve
    -Viair Pressure Switch Relay

Parts list looks solid. My compressors don't have an unloading valve to my knowledge. Will look again though.

Unless the check valve is the same thing.

The unloader is probably not necessary but It should make my cheap compressor last longer. Now I just gotta find the right combination adapters to make this work.
