This forum is great, it has given me a lot of info to make the right decision. I am going to pick up a 97 tacoma sr5 on Tuesday, and I think I have all I need to make sure it's ok. I put a deposit on one, and I am pulling a trailer a hundred miles to pick it up.
Gonna check frame, fluids, general wear and tear. It's got pretty low miles, so I'm hoping for the best. It's an automatic, was kind of hoping for a stick, but the price was half what they go for in Denver. and it's green!

Seller doesn't have title, trying to get me to pick up the truck and pay him while he is trying to get the lien released(he says he is the lien holder). I told him,no title no sale! Still on the lookout. He's going to realist it on eBay. Doesn't seem like a bad deal, his reserve is 5k and it has 144k, but without title, it's worthless to me.
