Will a "off the shelf" lift be best for me?

    I'm new to the tacoma world, but have always been heavy into trucks and modifying. My last project was my 600hp f250, so working on a truck is not new to me. But in doing so I have learnt that off the shelf kits are normally not the best bang for the buck nor the best working.

    The lift I had in mind is a Fabteck 6" stage 2. The reason I'm leaning towards this kit is because theirs no cutting or welding, which is nice because it will be going on a 2014 Tacoma. I was originally thinking this and 35s would make me happy. That is until I started to read and get lost. After reading about the cab mount chop and having to remove all my fender lining I decided it would be best to step down to a 33, as the truck is hardly off road and is more just for looks. Then after more reading I found you guys are running 3" lift spring/shock along with your 6" lift resulting in a 9" lift. My question is how is this on CV angles? Again the truck is brand new and I don't want to have a crazy CV angle. But If the CVs could be at a respectable angle and 35s installed without and cutting and rubbing I would go this route.

    What are your opinions about this, again the lift will just be for show but for all the guys that have done it where would you put your $3500 to make the ultimate lift with the smoothest riding, cleanest install (no cutting/welding), that handles tire size X the best.

    If you want a big lift you can do a 6 inch lift then 3 inch springs because the 6 inch is a drop bracket and puts it back in factory specs and keeps the cvs ok. With a 6 inch you dont have to do a cab mount chop, only 3 inch on 35's. But if you have been modifying trucks a simple cutting of the cab mount and welding the plate farther back should be no problem.

    Its not issue with cutting and welding, its the fact is has 2700 miles on it and is in full warranty. My local dealer will honer the warranty with 100% bolt together kit, once I lay a torch or put a bead on it the warranty will be void. Not something I want to jump into.

    They wont void a warranty because of a CMT
