Oh really?? That's good to know! That's a plus.

    I'll look into it. Thanks!

One thing to also note about Android based devices is that if you are not running a flagship model, your device quickly becomes outdated because future upgrades won't support it. Example flagship models are anything made by Google, Samsung S series, Motorola Droids. Non-flagship would be free phones, bargain devices.

As CRU alluded to, a Windows 8 tablet might be a really good option. If you aren't interested in app support all that much, but would have a laptop that doubles as a tablet, with the portability of a tablet, the Windows Surface tablets are excellent. The RT tablets aren't bad for light use, but a Pro series is where it's at. They run full-fledged desktop software and can be docked to used with monitors and regular keyboards. I'd love to use one at work, but my hardware demands are higher than the average user and I need more RAM - which is only available in a traditional laptop/desktop.

Microsoft Word has all the buttons and signs you will need. What are you looking to get from a tablet? I hope not a direct replacement for a laptop/desktop.
