Here is my dilemma. I am currently scheduled to take the mcat in january of 2015 which is the last month for the old exam. But I realized that if I bomb it in Jan I really don't have the option to retake the same version of the mcat since it's changing. So what I want to do is possibly take it in late october and if I do poorly then retake in Jan like I am planning now. Now the problem is I have not taken physics ever in my life. If i take the mcat in late october I will have one month of physics 1 under my belt. Also, it is a known fact that the physics department at my university is horrible and everyone tells me they didn't learn anything while in physics and that exam krackers and their prep courses really helped them with it. I am currently enrolled in kaplans online advantage course which starts July 17th and I guess my main question is if it is even plausible to get a handle on physics with exam krackers and my kaplan course. I'm not trying to get into Harvard. I'm am shooting for a 30 on the mcat. I took my first aamc test( 19 with breakdown of ps-5 vr-9 bs-5) and kaplans diagnostic( 23 with break down of ps-6 vr-11 bs-6 completely cold with NO studying. I'm not sure if that is normal to be that low at this point or not? Obviously I totally guessed on the physics problems. Any advice any one has would greatly be appreciated. I know that this is not the best situation for the mcat but under my circumstances its the only one I have unless I take the new mcat with will require me to delay my app for a year and take the new courses such as biochem and psychology and im not getting any younger
