I got re-ended back in may. The girl driving the car got out and ran and the guy who owned the car stayed. Come to find out after 2 weeks of back and forth he didn't have insurance. My company covered the damage through my uninsured motorist part of my policy. The accident bent my frame so bad the rear bed mounts were bubbled up. 13k in damage and my truck has been in the shop since the end of may waiting for Toyota to send a new frame..

^frames are not flimsy...they just aren't railroad car frames

frames are painstakingly designed to absorb energy in specific ways from various directions for crash suitability. that does mean yes, a minor hit is going to fold it in some way...but flimsy is not the best description imho

that sucks to hear man. But Toyota needs to fully box the frames on the Tacomas I mean seriously the bed bounces going over a small bump. The bed should not shake like it is having an epileptic seizure going over a road.
