That is the question. I am about to order a Leer 180 for my 2014 DCSB (I would go used but there is nothing out there in Blue Ribbon Metallic). I have most of my desired features down (removable sliding front window, carpeted interior, roof rack) but I am torn about whether or not to get Vented Windoors or just the normal sliders on the side.

I had a Leer on my Frontier that had a slider on one side and a solid Windoor on the other, in all honesty I NEVER used the Windoor. Many of the items that ended up back there were too big to fit through it anyway. This may not be an issue with the Windoors on the 180. Another concern I have about Windoors is I keep hearing about them leaking.

On the other hand, I have heard many times I will regret not getting them.

For those of you with Windoors, do you use them often? For those without, do you wish that you had bought them?

(As a side note, I will be buying from Timberline Toppers in Colorado Springs)

    Any input is greatly appreciated!

Are windoor the side doors on a topper. If so i would not get those. Way to easy to scratch or mess up the side of your bed trying to lean in and put stuff in the truck.

This is exactly why I stayed away from windoors , my old truck was scratched to shit from getting stuff out of my crossbox toolbox

Not in the near future but I want the ability to. I have pipe dreams of taking up kayaking.

Kayaks are no issue , if you were going to haul heavy items or a RTT I was hoing to suggest looking at the 180RCC commercial version of the 180R

If I did it over again I'd get the Windoor sliders. Best of both worlds. If you have a dog get at least 1 slider so they can enjoy a screened open window.
