Tach Doesn't Respond

    I have a 1979 pickup 20r. In the cluster gauge, everything is working except the tachometer which has been frozen at 4000 rpm (even when the truck is off) since I've bought it. Any thoughts?

    Does anyone have advice because I may just replace the instrument panel, but would rather fix it.
