    Actually...it's carbed. Bit of a PITA offroading but at that price it may be worth it for the ARBs and such.

    Yup, worth it. A used 22re is easy to come by and just swap out the carb'd 22r.

    EFI was an option and that was the first year. I think some 86s have carbs still as well.

    I bought a carbureted Toyota 4x4 in '85. The carb worked great. Drove it for about 10 years. BTW I still have the factory shop manual for it if anyone is interested.

    I had a carbed '87 2wd. Rebuilt that carburetor and that was a pain. Never did get the choke to work properly, but it was not really needed in the Phoenix area.

    Yeah I wasn't putting down the carb, they seem to run really well going down the road. It's just when you start getting vertical where it's a hindrance :laugh:

    You could always propane conversion the 22r.
