Obama quietly signed executive order 13662-
This bans ak47s and ak variants like the saiga shotgun; hurry and get y'all's Kalashnikovs before it's too late! Parts will be harder to find and you bet they'll be more expensive. These Russian imports have been banned and if you already own one then you can still keep it.

It's only those imported from Russia. That leaves a loooong list of places that can and do still export AK's to the US. My Arsenal converted Saiga's are now worth about 4x what I paid years ago though.
