    i com 2300 ham radio. for hunting (170 k miles) list of replacements since 166k miles: 4wd solenoid tailpipe muffer catalitytic conver exhaust manifold
    has anyone had any experience with cutting them and re welding it back?

    cut it. weld a pipe in. Buy urd rear o2 simulator. Good to go. Been running mine like this since this winter and have had no problems.

    Depends on location, within the y pipe, cut them and weld in a pipe if you like a loud exhaust or put some new high flow cats, for the headers, you can do weld in new cats or if you did pipes you would need o2 Sims but in this case I would say buy a set of long rubes and bolt them up with o2s. Factory headers will be ridiculously expensive to replace the whole assembly.
