I'm worried it won't fit

I am going to do my audio install this weekend and for my sub I have a Dayton RSS265HF-4 that I will be using. I planned on building a box and removing either the driver or passenger side plastic bin in the back. I have been looking at sub box dimensions and discussion from threads on here to get an idea of the max depth dimension and I felt ok but now that I have been laying the box and sub out in CAD I am getting nervous the sub is too big.

Most boxes I have seen show the bottom of the box being 7-1/4" to 7-1/2" deep. Modeling that on Pro-E the very top of the Dayton sub seems like it will be too far forward and hit the seat.

The "overall depth" as quoted on the Dayton spec page is 5-3/8" with the distance from the mounting face of the flange to the bottom of magnet being 5". From what I read that should fit but I'm second guessing how close it will be.

I really would like to use this sub because A. I have it and wouldn't need to buy another, B. because from everything I read it's a very good sub for music.

Does anybody have a sub the same depth(or deeper) behind the seat? I feel like I have read some folks that do but I cannot seem to find the threads now. I am thinking I am going passenger side so I can make the box wider and get close to 1 cu ft box.

Here is the spec sheet physical dimensions from Dayton.

The more I research the more I realize it will be too close and too much work to make it fit. So I made an executive budget decision and bought a RF P3 shallow mount. I'll use the Dayton for it's original intention, sub for my living room music.

You could fit this sub, but it will be very tight.
