Howling noise from engine

So this summer I have been noticing this loud howling noise that has been coming from my engine. its sounds like a mixture between a little bit of whining and a really loud fan noise. The noise mostly happens when I'm accelerating and putting the engine under load but then when I get up to speed the noise gets quieter. I have done some testing and it seems to do it more when its hotter outside like during the day but at night it doesn't really make the noise. It also seems like it is more likely to make the noise when i have the ac running.

 

Fan clutch doing its job maybe.

 

yeah but it just sounds really loud. I have to play music loud just to drone out some of the noise.
