Problem changing my starter (99 tacoma PreRunner)

changing my starter and finally got the thing in place and bolted on. problem now is that the terminal mount is too far away for the terminal wire to reach it. any easy fixes for this ? i know next to nothing help this poor fool out!!!

 

If its the correct starter, the terminal should be in the same spot as before? Is the harness caught up on something?

 

im begining to think that they sent me the wrong starter, or lied when they said it was the correct one for my car, but its instruction manual says that the starter may look different and has pictures of "what the old starter may look like" which one of them looks exactly like the one i removed from my truck. :/

 

update: thanks for the help, after researching the starter more and comparing it to similar parts, i think they have sent me the v6 model instead of the L4
