We added another Tacoma to our stable yesterday, when we picked-up a 1997 Xtra Cab LX, 3.4L, 5-Spd, 4WD as my son's first vehicle.

It has 202K on the clock and some scratches/dents, but is in good shape for its age. It runs great and shined-up pretty well when we cleaned it. (Still need to get some wax on it, but that has to wait until he stops driving it...) It's well-maintained and mechanically-sound. The interior and undercarriage/frame are in great shape. According to AutoCheck, it's a 1-Owner, No Accident, Colorado truck (one of the main reasons it has no rust). It even came with original keys, key codes, manuals, and window sticker!

My only regret was being unable to talk the seller any lower than $500 below book value. Unfortunately, they're selling like hot-cakes (even at "full" price) here. Having made more inquiries than I care to recall and looked at some pretty rough ones over the past couple of months, I was ready to be done and therefore very happy to find this one.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Ahh the 95-97, my personal fav (has nothing to do with owning a 95 :p ). Reminds me of myself a year ago, now throw a lift on and slam it up a mountain road with no room to turn around.
