Keep 33s or downsize

So this is how she sits now:



2" Spacer and 33s, i need new tires and can't decide if i should keep the 33s or get 31s, i am on a tight budget because my catalytic converter went out and i need to do new brakes all the way around, but i still can't decide if saving the money for the 31s will still look good

 

Dropping all the way down to stock size may look a little odd. Why not 32's? Check out treadwright if you're on a budget.

Those are closer to a 32. 31s were stock on some first gens. And treadrights have a really good review. Very few failures, about as many retread failures as brand new tire failures

 

ok yeah i just don't want to loose a tire doing 70 on the freeway, but i can get a set of dynapros for 600 OTD but thats if i drop to the 265s

 

I would drop size a bit - Just my .02

 

Check my build, I was on 265/75/16 for a while and liked em. First page should give you a good idea of what they look like.

 

Oh yeah, without a doubt. Those 265/75/16's look great on your truck - the perfect size.

But I'm not a fan of really large tires on Tacoma's. Some people do like them though.

 

when I was in a tight spot I was able to find used tires with 50-75 tread life left for less than half the price. a shop did it so they guaranteed them for 5k and that they would balance.
Might looks to see if any shops will do that in your area.
