I'm looking to add some LED light strips to my camper shell setup. I've just got touch lights in there now, but would love to be able to have a switched LED setup with a dimmer.

I assumed to do so I'd need to go with an isolated battery setup, and was about to pull the trigger on this cheaper method: http://www.expeditionportal.com/for...ke-a-cheap-isolated-dual-battery-setup-for-50

The ability to charge phones etc.. would be cool, but ultimately I just need some light for a couple hours at a time (with the truck off). Would I be OK wiring into the stock battery with an inline fuse for a couple LED strips without running my battery dead? If I could avoid adding another battery, I'd be stoked.
