I have to start off by saying. Ive worked doing tires for FORD 3 years ago. I know was it is to diagnose TPMS. Its not that hard.

I recently took my 08 tacoma for a Recall and asked the dealership to check my tire sensors. They didint bother. ooo welll . they say it would be 110 an hour + repairs. really?

all i need was to train my new sensors to my ECU. my truck when i got it , it did not have sensors when i bought the truck so i purchased the correct ones form ebay . had them installed when i got my new rims and tires.

with all that aside . I went to various places Discount Tire - Walmart - blahblahblah

America's Tire: Tires & Wheels trained my new sensors and programed them for free. they will diganos it for free too.

highly recommended if you have one if your area. and your TMPS is blinking or on. really friendly people and service.

and a cheap alternative from the dealer

I go through them with all of my wheel and tire needs. Have been using them for years. Same with my father. They almost know us by name now. Very friendly people, any questions thoroughly explained.

Getting my 285 duratracs from them in the near future once my lift kit gets fed ex'd to my doorstep:D

    Reserected from the dead.
Or you can just delete them. I fooled the TPMS ECU into thinking the tires were fine at all time.

I figure if I spend $7-800 on tires, I'm gonna check the bastards on a regular basis.

Every tire shop should be able to do it. Who installed your sensors and new tires, they should have been able to program them.

When I had my tires replaced my TPMS light was on.
I told the guy at the desk it was on and I didn't want them to replace my TPMS. I knew they were expensive and the light had been on so long I never noticed it any more. He laughed and said "Ok".

When I came back he said he had the tire guy rebuild my TPMS on all the wheels. He said he would not charge me for the rebuild. But they typically run $7.00 a piece.

But thanks for the info. We have one of those shops here in town. If I ever need a new TPMS I may check them out.
