Will a tundra trd cat back be safe to run on my 2011 tacoma? My buddy wants to get rid of it and im just asking if it would be ok to run. It is the trd one in two out muffler.

Well I am getting free trd tips and trd muffler. i was just asking if the muffler would give me a good almost stock sound with dual exhaust but without engine problems. And I would be gaining dual exhaust where i didnt have it before hand?

The only problem will be making it fit. That is all.

Now is a good time to learn fabrication skills. If you screw it up, you've lost nothing.

You misunderstand the concept behind "DUAL EXHAUST"...

A true dual-exh will have 2 full-length pipes running all the way back from the headers to the tips.

Splitting a single exhaust pipe (at the rear) into dual tips, is not "dual exhaust"...

FWIW, you're asking for trouble by trying to make a product designed for another truck to fit on your Tacoma.

I know it isn't """"""true duals""""""" I'm not an idiot and don't want two fart pipes coming out of my truck. Look I'm 19 and I have a saw and a welder if I mess up I will bring it to my local muffler guy and get him to put back on my old exhaust.

Ignore the nay sayers - sounds like a fun project where if it doesn't go well, you've only lost your time, but learned some new skills in the process, and you'll just bolt back in the old exhaust.

    Fuk the "don't do's" :)

By experimenting on your own you'll develop mechanical abilities that will serve you well for the rest of your life, and you'll also learn valuable lessons first hand as to the relation of your engine's performance and exhaust design.

Heck, I'm an old guy and I'm still experimenting... it's no end of fun. :)

    Greg

p.s. #1 rule of exhaust work: Always see what it sounds like open pipe. ;)
