    Howdy all,
This one is for the early crowd for sure.
Background: the 85 had a classic case of draggy toyota butt so I figured I would build up the springs using a set I got of of a 79 3/4 ton SR5 that I used to have. last time I did this was on a 52 CJ2A, so using Doug's maxim of cost effective spring work- shallow pockets- It began.
Unfortunately I don't have too many before photos:
the first is post rattle can camo paint last year:
the 2nd is after the dust settled
the 3rd is after the rear leaves with 3 leaves added - it eventually became 4. I will post some photos when I get back up north.
the 4th is classic gravel pad wrenching
the 5th is the not quite finished spring pack, going to use the old ubolts for clamps

Found this photo from the beginning- hauled the 85 up the Alcan from Mt.
I guess everything has to start somewhere...

The rattle can paint job didn't hold up too well so sanding and priming in increments, cab mostly as a flatbed is in the design stages.

Thanks, this one will take a while, but I'm down to see it through. Might be looking at a swapping out the oil drinker for a 22RE next year. Too many rigs too little money.
