I am busy figuring out easiest to get my 17' canoe on my '12 AC.

While hitting some related posts on the forum, I ran into a Yakima roof rack part and description said "not compatible with T equipped with side airbags"

    ??

The only thing I can think of is that the mild vibration or shake induced by the rack could trigger the side airbags activation..

BTW I randomly ran into a site showing some canoeist with a kickass homemade rack, 3/4 steel water pipe and corresponding aluminum clamping parts from Kee Klamp.

Could it be that the rack mount points are over airbag components?
