Pretty simple, put the Kings coilovers on my '09 Tacoma yesterday. I'm going to let 'em settle-in for a few days. The ride height isn't exzactaly what I want, so even though I've searched Google, this and other fourms. I'd be very interested in the memberships thoughts and experiences .

Some guys adjust them on the truck. You just have to be careful not to loosen the adjuster ring so much that it can jump the threads.

I personally prefer to take them off the truck and put them in a spring compressor to adjust.

It's really a personal preference thing and what your comfortable with.

King recommends that you adjust them off of the truck but a lot of people adjust them on the truck. I don't think it will hurt anything to adjust them on the truck, it's just harder because the resi hose gets in the way. And of course you want to jack the truck up with the tires off the ground so there's less tension on the springs.

Ok ...... Did the job today :), from what I've seen got to say adjusting these things on the truck is impossible, plain azzzzz impossible. Not enough room, too much stuff in the way. They are so tight you really need two of the punchie tool thinginiges, even after you use a little penetrate oil and have backed off the lock ring screw.

Just pull 'em out put 'em in a vice and follow Kings instructions........ ten rotations and your pretty well done.

King uses a 14" spring vice a 13" spring like Fox and Icon. This means that they have preload on the spring even with no threads showing.

That's why you can get away with adjusting other coilovers on the truck and experience more difficulty when adjusting Kings.
