So it's just about time for my Tommy Tacoma to gain a little altitude. I too think I'm going to go with the Fat Bob's garage, it looks identical to the ReadyLift, and is cheaper, PLUS FBG offers a "long leaf" option. What I DON'T like, is the looks of those shocks in the FBG kit! I did a lil reasearch, on Bilstein's site, and found a 4600 series shock (part number 24-185073) that says it fits the base Tacoma (5 lug), AS WELL AS, the 4.0L V6. My question is this.. can I assume that it's slightly longer than stock on the 5 lug since it fits the V6 as well, which is taller than a 5 lugger. I did call FBG and they said their shocks were just entry level, and that Bilsteins would be an upgrade and they could provide them for an increased cost, but would not discuss part numbers (which I totally understand)... I'm not trying to avoid paying FBG for their parts, but shocks ARE NOT a lifetime part, and want to know that I can replace them when I'm ready without scrambling to find part numbers when the time comes! You're opinions are appreciated! Thanks!
