Leer topper compatibility with Yakima & Thule towers

Leer canopy with Thule/Yakima rack system w/fittings for kayaks, canoe, bikes & cargo basket

I am having my brand new Leer canopy with factory installed roof tracks installed at a local Leer dealer in Anchorage nxt wknd. The local Leer dlr is trying to tell me Yakima towers are not compatible with the Leer tracks. He says only Thule towers can be installed on the Leer tracks.

I'm a little suspicious of his claim since I've seen several pictures on this forum what looks like Yakima towers on Leer canopies.

Have any of you had any personal experience putting Yakima towers on a Leer canopy with their factory installed tracks?

Thx in advance for any assistance & knowledge y'all can provide.
