Pop and Lock failure

    I just installed a P & L on my new 2014 Tacoma. Keyed the lock, tried it a couple of times, closed it, opened it. It worked. Replaced the tailgate cover. Tried again once or twice. And then tried and it would not open. The key sounds like it is clicking the lever inside, and the latch pulls up, but it is stuck. How can I get inside it again?
