I've got this kit on stock suspension and my advice would be DO NOT DO IT. Everybody here says do not go with a spacer kit for a reason. If you feel compelled to do it yes you can run it with stock suspension. Like I said I have it and am in the process of getting rid of it. I would explore other options personally

You can go tht route if you want, but like he ^^^ said, its not really worth it. If your gonna lift do it the right way go get coilovers and an AAL. A lot better suspension and you'll get a better ride. It may be a little bit more $$ but you will thank yourself. But in the end its up to you

Thanks for the replys! I will not do it. I'm just trying to explore reasonable lifts, I want to do it the right way but I'm not a serious wheeler so I feel like saving up for icons or something like that is overkill when i want the lift for aesthetic purposes mainly. but I would like the capability of going off road from time to time without any problems.

Depends on the spring. You definitely can't put the 885 or 886 springs on your stock shocks. Not sure what you drive or how much lift you want.

And the top plate spacer looks like their 1/4" TP-14 which won't cause issues.

Look at a 3-leaf progressive AAL. Cheaper than a whole pack, but better ride that the a single AAL.

Im happy with my icons. They cost a pretty penny but at least there is no regret. I also recommend a new leaf pack in the rear. Dakars or allpro expo. The OME kit is solid if you want soemthing that will last.

I'm driving an 08 ACC TRD off road with no real added weight except for an avid light bar which is only 30 lbs so if I did that I'm guessing 884 coils?

884s with spacer will be around 3".

Since its an '08, what condition are your shocks in? Due for a change anyways?

Best thing to do here if you wanted this lift is to go ahead and purchase a set of Bilstein 5100 shocks to go along with it. Also that should be their 1/2" spacer set, it isnt enough spacer to really cause any problems. If you ran the coils and spacers you would be right at 3" if you bought the 5100's you could actually set them at .85 and lose the spacer. Again you will be close to 3" so you may be looking at alignment issues. This could require you to purchase after market UCA's. Tons of options though, you could do 5100's and stock coils, that would put you around 2.5" and should be able to get it aligned. And on and on and on and on.......... Call Toytec, they are very helpful.

My shocks are actually in great condition, previous owner had it as a lease and never wheeled it. The truck only has 36k on it but I'm think if it would be wise to replace all four if I'm gonna lift

Makes sense. I think I'm just impatient but saving up and getting the right stuff will be better with no regrets

I thought about just setting the 5100's at 2.5 with stock coils but the age old complaint is that it is way to stiff on the TRD off road because of the progressive rate coils, but I guess that is subjective to people's opinion of stiff. I've also heard that you can't really off road much with them that high because you're preloading the shock. Any truth to this?

I added to much wieght and my 3 inch lift went to a 2.5 inch lift. I wanted 33 inch tires but they wouldn't fit with a 2.5 inch lift so. I got icons and now in back up at 3. And the ride is awesome.
