I am looking for some suggestions/experience/advice on buying a vacuum cleaner specifically to use on the Taco. So far, I've seen some pretty good reviews on Metro, Carrand, Black and Decker, etc. I need something that not only works well with dirt and debris but also lots of dog hair.

Would really appreciate sharing your experiences and thoughts.

Just go to your local Lowes or Home Depot and get a small vacuum. Home Depot carries Rigid and they work great, Lowes carries Shop Vac and it's also great. I prefer the Shop Vac because it's a little quieter.

Use a microfiber cloth first and you will find that the vac will finish the job but the microfiber will get most of it.

I use my crapsman shop vac for my dogs hair. I believe most shop vacs can be used as a leaf blower as well by attaching the hose at the rear. So blow the loose stuff out and suck up the rest. Air compressor works well also.

    More than I can afford
I have a big ass Craftsman shop vac.

But recently I have been using my 18V Milwaukee cordless vac. No cord/plug to deal with is awesome and it sucks pretty good.
It lives in the truck anyway (work tool).

80 lb black lab - I've found that hitting the seats with anti static spray (found at any supermarket or drugstore) and then using a shopvac makes the hair come up fairly easily.

I use one of these now on the rear seat. Goes on and comes off in seconds. Keeps the hair in check and also keeps the seats dry for those times when I take him swimming.

Is that seat cover easy to fold up and stuff behind the seat for when the dogs aren't in there?

Don't blow the pet hair out of your car! It's hair. It will go into places that you will never find, until the first time you cruise with your windows open or turn on the a/c. then you have a cab full of pet hair. You one of those pet hair squeegee lookin' things. That way you can pull up the majority of the hair and not clog up a vacuum with it. Good luck!!
