:sadviolin::sadviolin::sadviolin:Way too many prognosticators raising the question of whether or not Tacoma can or will survive the newly released and soon to be released Big 3 mid sized truck onslaught. Here is my question; Do you really have a reason to believe that those guys will outsell Toyota? If you do, please provide some type of insight you might possess that makes sense. Toyota has been in this business long enough to know what it takes to gain and retain their customer base. You count them out before the bell has rung and you might get blindsided.

I don't mind when those get posted, I just add the person who posts it to my list of Morons and go about my business. It's really easy when they self-identify for me.

It can only be good for those of us who love toyotas, toyota will step up and maybe add some interior options...I mean the big three may do ok with the mall crawler crowd but off-roading I doubt it.

Tacoma isn't going anywhere. They will eventually update the truck though I am personally in no hurry for it. I personally like the truck and body style.

IMO the issue is not whether or not the Big 3 will outsell Toyota, it's that their addition could begin to dilute the market. Toyota and Nissan could see their market share decrease if mid-size truck buyers opt to purchase one of the Big 3 offerings. How much will it dilute Toyota's market share, nobody knows...

Another thing that could impact market share will be what existing truck platform are these Big 3 mid-size truck buyers coming from. If they are current Tacoma/Frontier owners then market share will be impacted. If, on the other hand, they are current F150/Silverado/Ram truck owners then they will likely have a less pronounced impact on market share.

But honestly. I really like Toyotas. My entire family and my wifes family drive Toyotas. Our next vehicle will be a Toyota Minivan. I feel they make the best bang for your buck vehicles and resale value.

Personally i dont really care who sells the most. Its like looking at dishwasher reviews at Home Depot and the cheapest stainless steel Whirlpool is the "Number One" seller. Gotta remember that its also the one put in every apartment complex everywhere. Doesnt mean its the best one made.

Just so you know Ford isn't bringing any mid size trucks to market in the US. They don't want to take from f160 sales. As per the vice president of Ford when he came to our dealership and was asked when the 4 door Ranger would arive
