passenger window problem

the passenger window wont roll down. when i press either the window down for the passenger from either the driver side or passenger it wont roll down, i slammed the door while pressing the bottom but nothing, should i be leaning towards a new window regulator? if i get a volt meter would i test the circuit from the switch or to the actual regulator? thanks

Check the window switches. Try to put the window up with the switch on the door that the window connects too. If that still doesn't work. Then get two wires, take off the door panel, find the window wire with clip. Get two wires long enough to run from the battery to the plug for the window motor. Jump that plug, if you hear the motir, try reversing the wire and the window will go up or down

 

i can switch the driver and passenger side switch? if it was the passenger switch and i swapped them, wouldnt the circuit still be incomplete and not function? i have the door panel off already and the plastic dust trim.
